Our Purpose

Our VAC1 course has been accredited through the NACP to offer victim services certifications. As the only Christian-based training provider empowered through the NACP to offer this certification in NC (nationally), we designed the Evangelism Through Advocacy Program (ETA) to increase victim services certifications amongst the Body of Christ. The VAC1 course will help church members and leadership teams deal with domestic violence victims safely, conduct trauma-informed interviews an offer services and resources to the community more effectively.

Our Mission

We are coordinating and organizing sessions across the nation that track Christian participation. We are positioning to record our enrollment targets as a brief that demonstrates our collective, cross-denominational response to a former government task force suggestion to be trained in serving victims. Our enrollment costs are shared with church and organization participants to reward them for participating.

How does the VAC1 course empower specific ministries?

As a member of the Evangelism Team, you speak to community members about the gospel of Christ.
  • Have you ever been witnessing to someone and something you said sends them into an emotional state that troubles you for what to do next?
  • Have you ever taken a full study on the less subtle signs of child abuse, elderly abuse, human trafficking or intimate partnership violence?
  • Have you ever been in a situation advocating for a fellow church member or community member inside of a courtroom and was treated without respect or as a non-professional?
Our VAC1 Course is designed to empower your anointing and calling by providing practical ways to translate it into an impact that further serves the victim/member you are witnessing to by giving you practice with:

Conducting trauma-informed interviews.

Identifying sings of abuse

Offering escort services (court advocacy) and advocating for victim’s rights.

All course graduates receive a wallet sized badge (documenting their certification), effective for showing law enforcement and court officials to be received as a professional advocate.
As leaders of the church, you develop policies for church ministries and training for ministry leaders.
  • Do you wonder if your policies and programs address victims and community members in crisis without causing the church to be liable for triggering manic breaks?
  • Do you want to ensure that victims of domestic violence are receiving safety planning by your team in a manner that is proven by other agencies?
  • Have you considered what your church has in place as guidelines and trained techniques for your staff to enforce integrity when dealing with a victim/community members’ private and confidential information?
  • Do want to be sure they understand what to keep as a part of their advising and what they are required to share to avoid safety breaches and risk to the church’s reputation and financial standing?
Our VAC1 is designed to relieve the concerns of church leadership by training and providing instruction as they practice:
-Developing policies that comply with victim service industry standards and APA standards (when offering counseling).

-Establishing internal controls that help to manage the policies for other leaders.
